New Wonder Woman Still

Thought I should do an updated WW still, nothing major here, just a few design tweaks here and there, and a bit of a colour boost.

The one suggestion I have is to make the rims of the bracers match the color of the breast plate and belt.

  2. Derrick9592 says:

    Oh my god….. =D That’s freakin amazing!!

  3. Harley says:

She looks so amazing! You totally nailed it!

You should do ether a Flash or Nightwing still next!

  4. Anonymous says:

  5. mc says:

  6. Black Cat says:

You should make Cheetah concept art the Barbara Ann Minerva Cheetah that was like a humanoid

  7. Brett says:

I’m a big WW fan, and I LOVE all the work/pictures/concpets you’ve done with the character. Thanks for posting it online and sharing it with us.

  8. J.G. te Molder says:

    Very, very, very good.

Personally I think the red should be more bright though.

  9. Ethan Carter says:

ummmmm…every time I come across yet another image you’ve done……I’m even more impressed. I feel as though I’ve actually glimpsed an actual WW film…it’s totally hot.
It looks like it could really be Diana…who is the model? get her over to Warner Bros NOW.

  10. Rony Septiano says:

Woww thats HOT, i like this concept, and question is, who is the next WW ??

  11. eddie says:

  12. Renq says:

Hi YOu do fantastic work! brilliant! i had to scour the net to find as ive seen some of your work around and thought you might be interested in seeing this… i think its REALLY REALLY similar to your designs…

  13. joshmc says:

It’s not that similar really, it’s a bit too generic, besides, I think mine looks more WW like (and overall a lot better ;))

  14. candacerain says:

    Hi!

I really love your images, as do a lot of other people, obviously. I know I’ve seen that model/actress before but can’t recall who she is. Please, please tell me who she is so I can stop racking my brain. I seem to remember her as an 80’s maybe 90’s actress. Ahhhh!!!! Make it stop! Make it stop! 😉

  15. candacerain says:

Oh never mind!! I just remembered where I saw her and realized right now that you had her name there the whole time. hehehe. 🙂
I’ll let everyone else try to figure out who she is by themselves. And it wasn’t 80’s or 90’s it was the 2000’s. 🙂 😉

  16. superhero fan says:

sexy!!! What actress is that anyway?

  17. joshmc says:

    Cobie Smulders

  18. Dimas Soeyono says:

Oh man, you got to make batman n wonder woman manips bro.. specially using cobie smulders and christian bale as the model. I’m dying to see You R Da Man!

  19. Honest Mike says:

What the hell kind of name is Cobie Smulders?
Did someone just reach inside a Scrabble bag and drag that out?

  20. joshmc says:

I believe she has Dutch heritage so that’s where the name comes from. I think I read somewhere that an agent of her’s suggested she change it years ago.

  21. Honest Mike says:

Fair enough. I’ll pull my head in now.

  22. carmy says:

Wow! Just came across this site. This is The One! She’s Awsome. It looks like you just peeled her off the pages of the book. The costume looks great. It seems it would translate well for film and body structure and movement.
Ms.Smulders looks fantastic. As a super hero should look.Muscular atheletic(not an anorexic barbie doll who couldn’t snap a toothpick.)I’ll pray every night for her to get this part or i may have to boycott this movie if it ever gets made.

  23. zac says:

shyla stylaz with dark hair be perfect also

  24. John S says:

Great job with this! It was used in an article on another site, arguing the case for a Wonder Woman movie. I saw it and assumed it was from a “Smallville” episode or something, it was that convincing. I like the inclusion of battle wounds, since female comic book characters are often treated as hypersexualized eye candy while discounting their combat abilities. This touch strikes a nice balance between hot and tough.

  25. lynnemarie@hotmail.com says:

OMG…I am the biggest fan…ny facebook pic is wonderwoman….she is it!!!!!!!! I have seen the others…SHE IS IT!!!!SHE IS IT!!!

  26. lynnemarie@hotmail.com says:

I never thought anyone could replace the Linda Carter Image…..OMG …I am sorry I had to write again…SHE IS IT…I am a Marketing Specialist for 15 years..you have found her!!!!!!! SHE IS IT!!!

  27. Michael Swanson says:

    Beautiful work!

I’ve never seen a more perfect rendition of Wonder Woman. This image captures her strength, poise, grace and elegance, as well beauty. Plus, I’m pretty sure she could kick my ass.

It’s funny, I found it when a friend told me to look up images of the new TV show’s costume, since it was so horrid. It saddens me to see your excellent design work here and the Halloween store clearance section costume on television.

  28. Cobie says:

    nice artwork!

  29. josh says:

Thanks, but why the link to the image?

  30. Andrew says:

Wow, That is so amazing. And that costume with Cobie Smulders looks so much better then the promotional stuff they’ve done for the new Wonder Woman show.

  31. john rhodes says:

Cobie Smulders blows that abc crapshow away glad they put the brakes on that thing abc should see this and hire Cobie Smulders and you to do the fantastic work you do.Better yet WB hire you both to replace smallvilles old spot

  32. Anonymous says:

Why can’t the geniuses that make films of superheros/heroines, not have the vision that you possess? This is so totally what I perceive that a time period of wonder woman would contain ( as far as metal, and fabric ).

  33. Thierry De Wolf says:

    Hi Josh,

although your latest pieces from the Avengers blew me more away then this one, it was this one that drew me into your blog a lot more. Using Cobie Smulders for Wonder Woman has got to be some sort of stroke of genious 😀 Great piece all around, despite a few small details I can’t seem to put my finger on. Perhaps it’s because the figure isn’t completely blending in with the background, I still get the feeling she’s pasted upon the image, if you catch my drift. But hey, I’m nitpicking here.

One more note; I’d love to see a movie like this happen. I hope someone from Hollywood notices this. Pleasepleaseplease *crosses fingers*

  34. Tristan says:

Beautiful image, but her body looks so masculine to me. What I loved about Lynda Carter’s figure was that it was entirely soft and feminine… but most modern interpretations depict WW as a warrior. I prefer a softer WW whose strength comes from within, one that is less obviously muscular.

  35. Paul Neville says:

It,s good but the costume needs to be less agressive and the bruising is unnecessary.
It portrays wonder woman as a warrior also wonder woman has self healing powers and a face of gentleness
