Character Design – Wonder Woman damaged suit updated

Following on from my slightly redesigned WW outfit, I thought I’d also update the damaged version of the suit to go with it, although minus the injuries this time. I’ve been asked why I’ve made a version like this and really the idea behind this is that as the story moves along the outfit becomes more and more damaged after each battle, eventually arriving to something along these lines, thus looking more like the traditional comic version of the costume. Personally I quite like the dents in the breastplate.

I gotta give massive props to Minarho1 over at Deviant Art for the reference I used for this Hippolyta battle armour concept, I saw her drawing of the Wonder Women and new straight away that’s the design I have to base my concept art on. Big thanks to Minarho for giving me blessing to use her artwork as a guide.

Character Design – Wonder Woman Updated

Got a bunch of new stuff coming out in the next week or so, first piece, an updated WW design. I’ve taken some of the feedback and critiques people have made with my WW design and applied some changes, most notably new breastplate, and slightly less details throughout the costume. UPDATE: A change in hair style, turns out I went a bit too 1980’s with the hair style according to some, hope this is more satisfactory

NOTE June 5: I see my WW fan art has finally made its way to the DC Comics forums (I think that’s a first, yay!) and has stirred quite a debate. I appreciate all the critiques, for those who don’t like the design, don’t take it so seriously, it’s just one fans more grounded interpretation of the character. Peace!
My Harley Quinn design comes to life!

This is very cool, Captain Laura over at Deviant Art has created a Harley Quinn cosplay based of my photo manipulations. I was so impressed with how great and accurate the costume turned out that just had to show it to everyone. Very cool stuff.
