Sonya Blade Portrait

A continuation of my Mortal Kombat series, good ol’ Sonya Blade this time ’round. This was going to be more detailed and blended but I started to like the roughness of the foundation brush strokes so I decided to stay with that style, sort of gives it a more concept design feel to the overall piece which I quite like.

Wonder Woman Concept – Diana v Decay

A new piece of concept art. This scene depicts Diana about to battle the creature Decay (too long to explain who Decay is, just do a Wikipedia search).

I spent about 6 hours on the piece when sadly a blackout occurred when I was busy doing the final details, this resulted in the file getting corrupted, needless to say I was devastated, however the preview of the image was still being registered by Adobe Bridge, so I took a Print Screen of that preview and painted over the top (the lesson here, always save multiple versions). I managed to salvage it, but still doesn’t feel or look quite the same, but it is only concept art after all.

With a week to go until the nominations are revealed I thought I’d create one final manipulation to show my support for The Dark Knight’s Oscar bid.

The Joker And Harley Quinn

I’m back for a new year! I spent the X-mas break coming up with some new ideas to do for this year, and some are very ambitious projects. All will be revealed in good time, but first something to kick off 2009.

I actually had the idea brewing for sometime. I found an image of my default Harley Kristen Bell that matched beautifully with a promo image of The Joker. Sadly we’ll never get to see an actual image like this on film.
